Schema Markup Validator — frequently asked questions

Is the Schema Markup Validator really free?

Yes. The Schema Markup Validator is free forever on Sada Files — no ads, no premium tier and no account. Server-side fetches have a fair-use rate limit per visitor so the service stays fast for everyone.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There is no account system at Sada Files. Open the page, enter a URL or paste your code, and read the report.

Is my HTML uploaded in paste mode?

No. Paste mode extracts and checks the structured data in your browser. Fetch mode downloads the page through our SSRF-safe fetcher (public addresses only, 10 s, 5 MB) and stores nothing.

Which formats and types does it understand?

JSON-LD (including @graph and nested objects) and microdata (itemscope, itemtype, itemprop). It checks the properties Google requires and recommends for Article, NewsArticle, BlogPosting, Product, FAQPage, HowTo, BreadcrumbList, Organization, WebSite, VideoObject, ImageObject and software app listings.

What is the difference between an error and a warning?

An error is a missing required property or invalid JSON — the page cannot get that rich result. A warning is a recommended property that would make the result richer.

Does passing guarantee a rich result?

No. Google decides whether to show rich results. Valid markup makes a page eligible; content quality and policies decide the rest.
