Open Graph Preview — frequently asked questions

Is the Open Graph Preview really free?

Yes. Open Graph Preview is free forever on Sada Files — no ads, no premium tier and no account. Server-side fetches have a fair-use rate limit per visitor so the service stays fast for everyone.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There is no account system at Sada Files. Open the page, enter a URL or paste your code, and read the report.

Which networks does it preview?

Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Each card uses the same fallbacks the network does — og:title, then the page title; og:description, then the meta description; twitter:* tags for X when present.

How is the page fetched, and is anything stored?

The page is fetched by our server through an SSRF-safe fetcher: only http and https URLs on public addresses, every redirect re-checked (at most 5), a 10-second timeout and a 5 MB cap, sent with our own user-agent SadaFilesBot/1.0. The HTML is analysed in memory and thrown away — nothing is stored or logged, and no cookies are sent.

What image size should og:image be?

1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1), under 5 MB, as an absolute https URL. A relative path is flagged as an error because crawlers do not resolve it. Our OG Image Generator makes one in the right size.

Why does a network still show an old card?

Networks cache previews. After fixing your tags, ask the network to re-scrape — for example with Facebook's Sharing Debugger or LinkedIn's Post Inspector.
