Is the Hreflang Checker really free?

Yes. The Hreflang Checker is free forever on Sada Files — no ads, no premium tier and no account. Server-side fetches have a fair-use rate limit per visitor so the service stays fast for everyone.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There is no account system at Sada Files. Open the page, enter a URL or paste your code, and read the report.

How many URLs can it check?

Up to 50. Enter one URL to follow the alternates it declares, or paste a list of up to 50 URLs, one per line.

How are pages fetched, and is anything stored?

Each page is fetched by our server through an SSRF-safe fetcher: only http and https URLs on public addresses, every redirect re-checked (at most 5), a 10-second timeout and a 5 MB cap, sent with our own user-agent SadaFilesBot/1.0. The HTML is analysed in memory and thrown away — nothing is stored or logged, and no cookies are sent.

What does it check?

Every hreflang code (ISO 639-1 language, optional region or script, or x-default), duplicate codes, the self-referencing entry, x-default, and reciprocity — every alternate must link back. It reads both <link rel="alternate"> tags and HTTP Link headers.

What is the most common mistake?

Missing return links: page A lists page B, but B does not list A, so search engines ignore the pair. Using en-UK instead of en-GB is another frequent error.
